This French Confit Pot was crafted in Southwest France during the Mid 19th century. Made from hand-thrown terracotta, it features a rich ochre-yellow glaze on the upper half and an unglazed raw lower section—designed for underground food storage of confit, olives, or oils.

With its worn rim, glaze drips, and striking green glaze run across one side, this vessel captures the tactile authenticity of traditional French pottery. Its dual handles and timeworn surface give it sculptural weight, making it ideal as a rustic display object, Mediterranean floor vase, or historical accent in interior design.

An authentic example of French farmhouse pottery, it adds texture, color, and historic character to Mediterranean, rustic, or contemporary interiors.
