Very Large and rare antique lebrillo bowl from Spain, dating to the late 18th century, wheel-thrown in warm terracotta with a deep conical body, two applied loop handles, a broad rolled rim and a honey-brown glazed interior. The weathered exterior carries layered ochre, grey and pale mineral tones, with glaze traces and surface wear developed through centuries of use. The interior bears beautifully layered patina preserve the marks of generations of use, giving the vessel exceptional sculptural presence.

Sourced in Cuenca, Spain, this Spanish folk pottery vessel retains the direct character of traditional vernacular craftsmanship.
