Curated Antiques for Contemporary Spaces

ROC Abstract Photography

This collection showcases the abstract photographic works of Laragh Stuart. Laragh was born in Wicklow, Ireland, in 1972, and comes from a lineage of artists—her father, sculptor Ian Stuart, her grandfather, writer Francis Stuart, and her great-grandmother, Maud Gonne, muse to W.B. Yeats. Initially a painter, she later shifted to photography, studying in London and working in fashion and art photography.

Now focused on abstract photography, Stuart’s work explores the interplay between light, texture, and imperfection. She captures fleeting moments of transformation in nature—decay, erosion, and unexpected beauty—reframing them as poetic compositions. Through an intuitive process, she embraces chance and spontaneity, allowing abstraction to emerge organically from her lens.
