Provenance : Toledo, Spain.

Hand-painted antique Spanish albarello crafted in the late 19th century (circa 1850–1900) in the Puente del Arzobispo ceramic tradition in Toledo, Spain. This pharmacy jar, marked "La Pilarica J.A." on the base, exemplifies traditional majolica pottery, widely used in historic apothecaries.
The design features a heraldic eagle with a crowned crest (symbolizing nobility and apothecary heritage), a decorative shield with “ALO ESO” inscription (possibly referring to medicinal contents), and intricate acanthus scrollwork in rare warm ochre and brown hues. The jar’s slightly waisted shape, flared rim, and robust ceramic construction are characteristic of 19th-century Spanish pharmacy jars.
An excellent and rare piece for ceramic collectors, apothecary enthusiasts, and those who appreciate vintage home décor.
